Session Minimums:
All clinicians must have enough sessions scheduled on Monday by 10 AM to ensure that their weekly minimum will be met. The appropriate number of sessions necessary for a clinician to meet their weekly minimum depends on many factors including their average number of cancellations per week. After 10 AM, if a clinician does not have enough sessions scheduled, a coordinator will help the clinician make sure enough sessions are scheduled by the end of day.
Session Banking System:
The session banking system is a system Forward Wellness has set up where clinicians are simultaneously guaranteed to be compensated for conducted sessions while creating a buffer for sessions left unconducted due to cancellations and no-shows.
Based on your contracted minimum divided 5 (for days in the week) those sessions are awarded sessions are given to all qualifying clinicians for paid holidays, paid time off, and sick days. Holiday sessions will be credited once a clinician has at least a zero (0) number of banked sessions. A zero amount of banked sessions shows that a clinician is fulfilling their commitment to conducting their minimum number of weekly sessions. Holiday sessions will not be credited to anyone with a -1 or less in their session bank. Limited to full-time employees.
Weekly Caseloads determine your time off.
Clinicians that have weekly caseloads that are higher than 30 are given different credits towards their minimum for regarding PTO, Sick Days, Holidays etc.
30 = 6
31 = 6.2
32 = 6.4
33 = 6.6
34 = 6.8
35 = 7
Etc.
In order to qualify for holiday session credits the clinician must have a session bank totaling zero or above on the Sunday before the week of the holiday.
If a clinician's session bank numbers are pervasively in a deficit (below zero) then a coordinator and your success coach will be assigned to support the clinician and help to manage their schedule. During this period of time the clinician will be given the opportunity to get their session bank above zero.
A verbal warning might be issued if the clinician is under 0 (zero). If the clinician continues to be under 0 for an extended length of time they will receive a write up.

Clinicians may live and provide therapy sessions in any other states in the US while being employed by Forward Wellness but are not able to provide treatment for Kaiser patients.
Patients that Travel:
If a patient travels to a state other then California then you cannot see them, even if they are in crisis. If the patient is in crisis you can still not see them and you may need to direct them to a local Suicide Lifeline or call 911.
